This conceptual piece was done from many images, all combined into a story of a young couple, together in life and awaiting the day when they would lie peacefully together in the afterlife. They view their tomb from afar. Hand rubbed transfers add imagery onto the columns in the foreground.

I am both a painter and a printmaker -- these two disciplines provide balance to my creative process and I freely move between the representational subjects in my paintings and the abstract imagery in my printmaking. My monoprints combine diverse inspirational sources (tapestries, Japanese wood-blocks and ceramics) with vibrant colors, patterns and textures to create compelling semi-abstractions. Painting "en Plein Air" has given me an appreciation for the hidden beauty in the city and surrounding environs where I live. Strong influences in my work are Classicism, Impressionism, Aestheticism, Fauvism, the Arts and Crafts Movement and the Nabis of the 19th Century.
